Despite the first round still not being completed as of this writing, the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs is already underway, with the Carolina Hurricanes shutting out the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday night (cashing my best bet in the process). The two teams go at it again tomorrow, as well as the puck dropping on the start of a Western Conference series. Anaheim Ducks vs Vegas Golden Knights
Start Time: 9:30 PM EST
Nothing says hockey like Anaheim, California, and Las Vegas, Nevada, right?! For the first time since 2017, Anaheim fans will see more than first-round playoff action, as the Ducks are in the second round, facing former Cup champions the Golden Knights.
Despite getting a road win against the Oilers in Edmonton in the first round, Anaheim is not a good road team, being the only remaining team in the playoffs with a sub-.500 road record. This is not good news for them; if they plan to make the conference finals, they need to get a win in Vegas. I don’t see that happening tomorrow, at the very least.
A poor road mark and a leaky defense/goaltending add up to a Golden Knights win. Vegas on the moneyline is my best bet for Monday.
