Daily NBA Player Props – May 3rd
Ausar Thompson – Over 7.5 Rebounds (-147)
The betting lines might change, but my sentiment does not – the books just don’t know how good Thompson can be on the boards. We are now six straight games of him hitting the over on his projected rebounds. While the number keeps climbing up a bit, it’s hard to pick against that momentum. That’s especially true given his back-to-back games with double figures in the boards column.
Desmond Bane – Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (+100)
Speaking of props that we just can’t get enough of, Desmond Bane has been active from behind the arc for the bulk of this postseason series. While he started a little slow with just three deep balls in his first two games, he hasn’t come in under this mark in a game since. If we look to the last four games, he’s averaging 4.75 three-pointers per. Getting an average like that and seeing plus-money next to it? You can’t pass that up.
Evan Mobley – Over 16.5 Points (-110)
Evan Mobley has been the force that they need on the boards in this series, but he’s also sneakily been a good scorer. He’s coming off a 26-point effort in the Game 6 loss, and that was his third game of the series with at least 23 points. An eight-point Game 4 dud lowered his average for the series, but he’s still sitting at 19.0 per game. While we might see Donovan Mitchell and James Harden look to pick up the pace in a win-or-go-home situation, I still think Mobley can carve himself out a spot in the offense.
