Best Bet For Friday (February 28th): College Basketball Predictions
Brown Bears vs Harvard Crimson
Start Time: 5:00 PM EST
This isn’t exactly banner seasons for the Brown Bears and the Harvard Crimson, as they both have 5-6 records in Ivy League action, and 13-11 and 10-14 overall records, respectively. But they’re all smarter than the rest of us writing and reading this, so they’ve got that going for them.
The Bears and the Crimson have already played once this year, in Providence, with Harvard prevailing by 13 points. Now back at home in their own barn, I’m actually picking against the Crimson tomorrow.
The reason? My numbers tell me to, and my numbers normally steer me right. Harvard is a mediocre home team this season, and historically, their home-court advantage isn’t worth too many points. Brown is better on offense and defense, and the advanced stats have them ranked ahead of Harvard. My number is Brown -2.5, so the Bears plus the points is my best bet.
