College basketball tipped off its season on November 2nd with over 100 games on the slate. The Field of 68 Marathon was a smashing success and featured quality mid- and low-major programs. We also had a few of the heavyweights square off in early season action. Top to bottom, yesterday’s slate was fantastic and we swept the card. Today’s slate? There are only 26 games and most are buy games that are virtually impossible to bet on. However, we did find a few games worth sprinkling a few dollars on and letting our success from yesterday ride.

Matt Dewoskin ATS College Basketball Picks Record (Est.November 2, 2026)
All Selections: 3-0
Perfect 3-0 Cards: 1-0
Wofford at Tennessee
Start Time: 6:00 PM EST
Historically speaking, Tennessee under Rick Barnes has been one of the power programs that takes these buy games personally. Last year? The Volunteers beat Mercer by 15, Northern Kentucky by 39, North Florida by 33, Rice by 25, Tennessee State by 29, and Rutgers by 25. Wofford is closer to Northern Kentucky than it is to Mercer.
The Volunteers have rebuilt their roster around offense. Terrence Hill Jr., transferred in from VCU and was one of the most sought after names in this year’s portal. He’s expected to run the offense and defend the perimeter for the Vols this year. Tyler Lundblade came in from Belmont to shoot threes and Juke Harris made the move from Wake Forest to slash, cut, and score. Jalen Washington transferred in from Vanderbilt as a rim protector. The Vols have a host of portal players and home grown talent to round out the rotation. The Vols are deep, experienced, and have scoring punch that previous teams have lacked.
Wofford have a solid year in the SoCon, but may not be as talented as last year’s team that finished tied for second place in the conference. They return a bit in their backcourt, but lack size up front. The Terriers are also walking into a hornet’s nest in Knoxville, and should struggle to stay within the number.
Best Bet: Tennessee -27.5
Hampton at Georgia Tech
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
The Scott Cross era at Georgia Tech begins for real tonight against Hampton. Cross brought a lot with him from Troy and added a lot of highly touted recruits. The overall roster may not be enough to avoid the basement in the ACC, but they should have more than enough to compete against Hampton.
The Hampton Pirates only return one starter from last year’s team. Coach Ivan Thomas is in year two and he’s building a culture of toughness at Hampton, but this roster will struggle to compete in the conference this year.
Cross will want to get off to a fast start in his new role. Hampton lacks skill in the front court and they will struggle with the athletes that the Yellowjackets have on their roster. Let’s snort some more chalk on this one, and lay it with Georgia Tech in their first game under Cross.
Best Bet: Georgia Tech -15.5
Northern Arizona at UNLV
Start Time: 10:00 PM EST
UNLV is in year two with coach Josh Pastner, and they opened up the checkbook. UNLV will likely be at or near the top of the Mountain West Conference this year, and their roster reflects it. The Rebels return only one starter, but it’s Mountain West all-defensive team member forward Tyrin Jones.
The Rebels made a lot of impressive additions to their roster. Terrence Ford Jr. transferred in from Arkansas State and is expected to be the engine of the Rebels’ offense. He’ll be joined by Florida State transfer Cam Miles and UCLA transfer Sebastian Mack. The rotation features a lot of transfers from power programs and homegrown talent. The Rebels should be nasty this year, and they get a tasty matchup for their first game.
Northern Arizona has a chance to be one of the 50-worst teams in the country, and that was before their point guard was ruled out for the year with a knee injury. The Lumberjacks have gotten a little bigger and longer, but they lack the skill and athleticism that UNLV can throw at them. Northern Arizona looks primed to get blown out in their first game of the year, and UNLV should run away with this one.
Best Bet: UNLV -21
