The long wait is over – college basketball is back! And, unlike college football, you actually get good matchups in the early days of the season on the hardwood. For my college basketball parlay for Tuesday (Nov 3rd): NCAA Predictions, we’re heading to Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, and John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Virginia. Let’s hit the ice!
College Basketball Parlay for Tuesday (Nov 3rd): NCAA Predictions
Manhattan Jaspers vs #23 Kentucky Wildcats
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
Now, what I said in the opening paragraph about competitive matchups in the early going in college basketball sadly doesn’t apply tomorrow – we’ve got a bunch of squash matches on paper as more of the nation’s top teams tip off their seasons.
But we’re going to take advantage of that. The Kentucky Wildcats weren’t exactly an offensive juggernaut last season and only won last year’s opener by 26. The Manhattan Jaspers cover this wide spread.
Drexel Dragons vs #9 Virginia Cavaliers
Start Time: 7:30 PM EST
First off, it’s nice of the Virginia Cavaliers to name their arena after Led Zeppelin’s bassist. Ok, now to the Cavs opener, against the Drexel Dragons.
Similar to Kentucky, Virginia was only a middle-of-the-pack offensive team last season. I don’t know if the Cavs can score enough to cover a 31.5-point spread (although they did win their opener last season by 34). Regardless, I’m going with the Dragons plus the points to complete my winning parlay.
