And one of the teams involved is the Charlotte Hornets. Here are your NBA predictions and preview for Wednesday, February 19th.

Charlotte Hornets vs Los Angeles Lakers

Start Time – 10:00 PM EST

Despite the shade I threw their way in my opening to this article, I’m taking the Charlotte Hornets tomorrow night as they visit the Los Angeles Lakers at crypto.com Arena. But the Hornets are 4-19 on the road, you argue, the third-worst mark in the NBA. And the Lakers home record of 19-6 is among the best in the league, plus they’ve won seven straight on their home floor.

All very valid points. However, I didn’t say I was picking the Hornets to win, now did I?! No, instead I like the Hornets on the spread. After crunching the numbers, the Lakers shouldn’t be favored in this spot by more than 10 points. Now the numbers don’t fully reflect the Luka Doncic effect on the Lakers yet. But he isn’t at peak Luka yet as he works his way into shape (easy joke here but I’ll pass). So Charlotte on the spread is the best bet for tomorrow.
