Texas Tech -8.5 at TCU

Grant McCasland has done a marvelous job improving an already good basketball team from last year into one of the premier teams in the sport. The Red Raiders are 20-5 and currently sit in third place in the Big 12. Today, they’ll take on an in-state rival on the road as 8.5-point favorites.

TCU has had an up-and-down season in 2024-25. They have struggled with elite conference opponents and took care of business against most of the weaker competition. TCU is 6-8 against the spread at home this season and 4-9 against the spread after a win.

At the end of the day, I don’t see TCU being able to keep up with JT Toppin and Chance McMillian on the offensive side of the ball. According to KenPom, TCU ranks 193rd in the nation in offensive efficiency. That doesn’t fare too well against the 9th best on the other side.
