The final day of round-robin play of the inaugural 4 Nations Face-Off tournament goes down tomorrow, with one team already clinching a spot in Thursday’s championship game. That leaves one spot left for the other three nations to battle over tomorrow. For my SGPN Parlay for Monday (February 17th): 4 Nations Face-Off Parlay, we’re headed to Montreal’s Bell Centre and Boston’s TD Garden to check out the action. Let’s go!
SGPN Parlay for Monday (February 17th): 4 Nations Face-Off Parlay
CANADA VS FINLAND
Start Time: 1:00 PM EST
Tournament favorites Canada needed overtime to squeeze by Sweden in their first game of the tournament, then got steamrolled by the United States in their second game. Now they find themselves in a must-win situation tomorrow (as does Finland, which needs to win to give themselves hope of advancing).
And I think the enormous talent gap in Canada’s favor, not to mention the home ice, will be enough to get them a rematch with the USA in the finals. Canada on the moneyline is the first half of my parlay.
SWEDEN VS USA
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
This brings us to the only undefeated team, the USA. They’ve outscored teams 9-2 in their two games thus far, and have earned the right to take it easy against Sweden if they choose. I think even if they do ease up a bit, they will still win by two goals or more. The United States on the puck line is the second half of the parlay.
Best Bet Parlay: Canada ML + USA -1.5 (+186)
Overall Record: 60-147 (29%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): -($2,087.00)
Return on Investment: -10%
