Well, half of my old man captains-only goal scorer parlay for Game 5 came through, as the Carolina Hurricanes’ Jordan Staal just can’t seem to stop scoring goals. Damn right I’m including Jordan Staal in my goal scorer parlay once again. I’m going to ride the Staal wagon until the wheels fall off. But Mark Stone, you’re dead to me.
For a 37-year-old who only managed 20 goals this regular season, Staal is on a magical heater. The center has scored eight goals during this playoff run, including scoring in all five of the Finals games and six of his last seven playoff games.
For the home side, the Vegas Golden Knights, I’m going back to Tomas Hertl. The 32-year-old center has a couple of goals in this series against the Canes and has managed seven shots on goal over the past three games. He’s due for at least one puck to find its way to the back of the net tomorrow night.
