For the first time since July 2013, the UFC octagon is setting up shop in Seattle, Washington this Saturday for UFC Fight Night: Cejudo vs Song (aka UFC Seattle). We had a flyweight main event the last time the UFC was in town (Demetrious Johnson successfully defended his UFC Flyweight Championship against John Moraga), and a couple of lighter-weight fighters (135-pounders) will share top billing again this weekend. For my MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC Seattle, I’m not going with a little guy, but instead I’m picking a 205-pounder.

MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC Seattle
UFC Fight Night: Cejudo vs Song (AKA UFC Seattle)
Main Card Start Time: 9:00 PM EST (ESPN+)
Unfortunately, this fight lineup has been ravaged by injuries, and many of the remaining main card fights have wider odds than I would like for this pick. So I’ve zeroed in on a light heavyweight fight with close odds – Ibo Aslan vs Ion Cutelaba.
And I’m going with Aslan. The Turkish fighter is 14-1 as a pro and has TKO’d six straight opponents, including one on Dana White’s Contender Series, and two in the UFC. He’s bigger, younger, and a way better and more powerful striker than Cutelaba. And, most importantly, he’s successfully stuffed all eight takedown attempts against him in the UFC – important because Cutelaba relies on grappling to win fights.
