The Los Angeles Rams started off just 1-4 and their injury report piled up faster than their losses did. Now, they are winners of three of their last four games. More importantly, their injury report has shrunk getting stars like Cooper Kupp and Puca Nacua back. They are on the outside of the playoffs, but have a narrow path to get there still.
The New England Patriots on the other side are focused on the future. Luckily for them, rookie quarterback Drake Maye seems to have been a hit and continues to improve each game. After a six game losing streak, the Patriots are winners of two of their last three games.

These are two teams with tough defenses and coaches that don’t mind just grinding it out. The Patriots offense is the second worst in the league in points per game averaging just 16.0. The Rams aren’t a ton better with a rank of 20th overall at just 20.6 points per game.
On the flip side, the Rams only allow 24.4 points per game on average. The Patriots defense has been shutting down opponents and holding them to just 22 points per game on average. Combine two teams that have tough defenses, and not great offenses. I think the under comes through in this one.
Rams -3.5 (-140)
You can look at these two teams’ seasons and say well, there’s not a lot of difference here at just three and four wins apiece. However, for the Rams, it still feels like there’s some hope of the postseason and things where they need to start putting up. They won three in a row, only to be derailed by Miami last week and they can’t afford much more of that.
Maye is showing promise and looks better, but the Patriots offensive line is atrocious. Mattthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua are going to still get work done against a tougher Patriots defense. Then at head coach, the Rams have a massive advantage in Sean McVay. Even on the road I think the Rams squeak out a win in a low scoring affair.
