I ask you, loyal readers and tailers of The Quick Pick, how about that start to a new week? We’re flying as high as a kite after a perfect three-for-three start on the MLK holiday yesterday. Standard option players bagged 6x profit, while Insured option players secured a solid 3x profit.
This article is a moving train and our NHL Underdog bangers are taking anything out that’s laying across the tracks. So get out of the way or hop on board. There’s another banger headed this way.
Let’s ponder over tonight’s eight-game NHL slate and do some more winning. Here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for January 16.

The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for January 16
Frank Vatrano Higher Than 0.5 Points
We’ll start things off Tuesday night where we left them on Monday, in the house that Frank Vatrano built. Not only did the Ducks pull out an OT winner against the Florida Panthers, but Frank tallied two points.
That’s now four straight games with points, and Vatrano is contributing in all sorts of different ways. Wednesday night, the Ducks will require his services again if they want to dispose of the pesky Capitals.
So hop back inside the tank again because we’re doing some more damage. Press Frank Vatrano Higher Than 0.5 Points in Washington on Tuesday night.
Morgan Rielly Higher Than 0.5 Points
The Maple Leafs have now lost three games in a row, which really is a damn shame. Insert sarcasm right there! Tuesday night will be a very big test for Rielly and the Leafs. They head out West to take on an Edmonton Oilers team who have now won 10 straight.
But in the spirit of building bangers, we’re looking at Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly because he has been steady Eddie. With six goals and 28 assists this year, Rielly has now logged seven points across his last six games.
His recent form should be just about enough to get us over the line here in this matchup. Let’s press Morgan Rielly to go Higher Than 0.5 Points on the road against the hot Oilers.
Blake Coleman Higher Than 0.5 Points
What would a second consecutive banger on Tuesday night look like without the face of Blake Coleman as the anchor? For this NHL Underdog player, it is beyond criminal that they’re still giving Coleman’s line at 0.5 of anything!
Blake now has three multi-point games in a row and has tallied 15 points in his last 10 games. I never was really good with calculation but that seems good, right?!
Calgary is on home ice Tuesday night against the desert dogs, and Blake Coleman is on the hunt. We’re mashing Blake Coleman Higher Than 0.5 Points and on our way to a second banger in as many nights!
Best Ways to Build Your Tuesday Card
-Play all three players together using the “Standard” option on Underdog for a 6x winner
-Play all three players together using the “Insured” option on Underdog for a chance at a 3x winner for all three or a 1x winner for getting two out of three.
