The New Jersey Devils are in a nice run of form, having now won four out of their last five. Friday night, they’ll be on their home ice to take on the struggling Chicago Blackhawks. 20-year-old defenseman Luke Hughes is now up to a modest seven goals and 15 assists this season.
Coming into Friday night’s game, he’s put together a four-game point streak, including three goals. With our first NHL Underdog entry on Friday, we’re going to trust the Force, Luke. Go ahead and take Luke Hughes Higher Than 0.5 Points at home against the Blackhawks.
Sebastian Aho Higher Than 0.5 Assists
Each year the Carolina Hurricanes always find a way to field a solid-ass hockey team. Speaking of solid, Finnish winger Sebastian Aho could be found next to that word in Webster’s dictionary. With 15 goals and 28 assists in 2024, Aho comes into Friday against Washington on a five-game point streak.
During that same streak, he has tallied an astounding 10 assists! Tonight, we’re only going to need one from Mr. Aho to link up our banger. So let’s take Sebastian Aho to stay hot and go Higher Than 0.5 Assists against the Capitals.
Frank Vatrano Higher Than 0.5 Points
Our third NHL Underdog entry skates in the lone nightcap in the NHL when the Jets travel to the Ducks. I you don’t know the name Frank Vatrano by now, then you aren’t reading The Quick Pick. And if you aren’t reading, then quite frankly, you ain’t winning!
Vatrano is up to 18 goals and nine assists on the season and sports a modest two-game point streak. In his last performance against the Jets, he blasted five shots on goal but unluckily came up empty. Friday night, we’re getting back in Frank the Tank and bulldozing our way to another cash.
