Giannis Antetokounmpo – Lower than 31.5 Points
The stars like to come out and shine on Christmas Day, yet I’m still taking the lower on Giannis Antetokoumpo’s points. First off, he has a sprained foot so he’ll be hobbled, literally, in this game against the New York Knicks. Plus, since exploding for 64 points on December 13th, he has only topped this 31.5-point projection once in five games.
Stephen Curry – Lower than 28.5 Points
Yep – I’m fading another all-time NBA great tomorrow as well. Stephen Curry does not play well on Christmas Day, only averaging 15.3 ppg on 31.5% shooting on Christmas. Plus, he’s ‘only’ averaging 28.3 points per game this season and will be playing in Denver, which is at elevation, against the Nuggets, who have one of the NBA’s best defenses this season.
Jayson Tatum – Lower than 28.0 Points
I’m going full Grinch here and I’m also taking the lower on Jayson Tatum’s points for Christmas Day. He’s averaging less than 28 points per game this season (26.9) and has only topped 28 points once in his last three games and twice in his last seven. The Celtics are dominating this season, but they aren’t leaning on Tatum to carry such a heavy scoring load as in the past.
