A point and a half is all that separated these teams when the guys taped on October 14: the Bears were 1.5-point road favorites with a total of 51, a price that treats Chicago at Atlanta as close to even. The game kicks off Sunday, October 18 at 1:00 PM ET in Atlanta, GA, and on the NFL Picks Week 6 episode Sean and Ryan landed on opposite sides of that short number.
Bears vs Falcons Odds
The Bears were 1.5-point favorites with a total of 51 when the guys taped on October 14.
Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Falcons +1.5
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Bears -1.5
The segment opened on the Atlanta case: a Falcons offense that can run to the edges, Bijan at his best when he gets loose, and a question about how Caleb Williams, set to return for Chicago, handles the blitz. The show also flagged the Bears’ second straight road trip with a Thursday night game coming next.
Sean went the other way. If the Bears were the dog here, he said, they would be a close-your-eyes special, and that was enough for him to buy a well-coached team. He liked the Bears running the ball on a Falcons defense he called 24th against the run, and a Bears defense that can force turnovers against a Penix who isn’t 100 percent. Mostly he trusts Ben Johnson coming off an embarrassing loss to Green Bay, noting Johnson is 5-2 straight up and 5-2 against the spread off a loss.
Ryan’s reply was that the Bears are 32nd against the run, and he expects Penix to find openings through the air. He also admitted he has been using AI to dig into matchups and might be letting his biases sink in. Sean told him he was overreacting to the Green Bay game. Ryan said that loss raised questions about Chicago he doesn’t think get answered against the Falcons, and took Atlanta plus the point and a half. Sean called laying it a great price.
