Ryan Kramer called this one the Parsons Bowl, and his worry was the schedule: the Packers just played the Bears and have a road game in Detroit next, so Dallas is not a team they can afford to look past. The Cowboys visit Green Bay, WI on Sunday, October 18 at 8:20 PM ET for Sunday Night Football, and the Packers were 1-point favorites with a total of 53 when the guys taped on October 14. Here is what they said on the NFL Picks Week 6 episode.
Cowboys vs Packers Odds
The Packers were 1-point favorites with a total of 53 when the guys taped on October 14. On the money line, Green Bay was -115 and Dallas was -105.
Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Packers -1
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Packers -1
Ryan admitted the pick means riding Jordan Love again, which he called a terrifying spot, though it paid off in Week 5. His argument is that Love is at his best when he can sit in the pocket and loft it deep, and that is what works against Dallas, a defense he says doesn’t generate much pressure and has a secondary that can’t hold up. He also said the all-22 film shows someone on the Cowboys defense making a bad mistake half the time.
Sean brought the news that Dallas hired Mike Pettine as a defensive assistant to help a first-year defensive coordinator. He compared it to the Eagles trying the same thing and said it creates a weird dynamic in the locker room, which was enough to put him on Green Bay. He also thought Dak looked off in the last game and missed throws, while Ryan gave more of the credit to Todd Bowles for confusing him.
The guys did see the Cowboys drawing public interest on the road and getting extra rest. It didn’t move either of them. Sean expects the Packers offense to carve up that defense, Ryan is on the Packers too, and he pointed out that Watson sits second in touchdowns on the season, so an alternate line on him came up as a way to play it.
