Is Lamar Jackson playing? Ryan Kramer asked it before he read a single number, then answered his own question with the line: yes, because the Ravens were 5-point favorites when the guys taped on October 14. Baltimore visits the Browns on Sunday, October 18 at 1:00 PM ET in Cleveland, OH, and the guys split this one on the NFL Picks Week 6 episode.
Ravens vs Browns Odds
The Ravens were 5-point favorites over the Browns with a total of 43 when the guys taped on October 14. On the money line, Baltimore was -245 and Cleveland +210.
Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Ravens -5
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Browns +5
Ryan opened with good news for Baltimore, Trey Hendrickson coming back, and said Cleveland should start sliding back toward the bottom of the league. Sean wasn’t having it. His rule for this team is short: Browns at home, you take them; Browns on the road, you fade them. He pointed out the Cleveland defense plays better at home, and by the show’s count the Browns are 7-1 against the spread as a home dog and 6-0 as a divisional home dog. Add a Ravens team coming off a big overtime win, on the road for a second straight week, with a quarterback Sean doesn’t believe is 100%, and he called it a smash spot for the division home dog.
Ryan agreed the Browns are banged up and went the other way anyway. He’s betting on two things: the Ravens defense causing real trouble for a shorthanded Cleveland offense, and the Baltimore run game winning the matchup outright, with Deshaun Watson turning it over a couple of times along the way. Sean acted shocked he was on Baltimore at all (“I had you labeled as a sharp gambler”).
The last argument was about timing. Sean said Ryan should bet it now. Ryan is waiting until he knows who starts at quarterback, because his case rests on the defense and the run game, not on Lamar.
