Colby was the first one in. He called this game a great dog spot historically, though he didn’t pretend Oklahoma looks good right now: by his count the Sooners’ coach is 1-3 here and got blown out in all three losses, and Ryan added that the Oklahoma quarterback looked awful in his most recent game. That is sort of the point for Colby. He sees this as the true foxhole spot for Oklahoma, with two weeks to prepare, and he’s convinced Texas shows up thinking it’ll be easier than expected. He’s taking the points and sprinkling the Oklahoma money line at +280.

Ryan agreed right away and called it a system play. Sean brought the numbers: Arch Manning is 0-4 against the spread as a road favorite, by Sean’s count, and while he admits this is a neutral site, he doesn’t trust the Texas offense against decent competition enough to lay a number this big. Sean sees a touchdown game, which makes 8.5 look generous.
