Top Week 17 NFL Player Prop Bets Based on Contract Incentives

It’s hard to believe it’s already Week 17 of the NFL. Fantasy football seasons are wrapping up this week (if yours isn’t already over!), and just two weeks remain in the regular season. Some teams are solely focused on making the playoffs, winning their divisions, or securing their seeding. While others don’t have much to play for, and start looking at player contract incentives. If a coach or quarterback can help one of their players grab a few extra dollars to finish up the season, we’ve seen time and time again where they’ll go out of their way to do just that. Let’s jump in and take a look at some of the top Week 17 NFL player prop bets to place based on contract incentives.

Top Week 17 NFL Player Prop Bets Based on Contract Incentives

Hunter Henry Over 3.5 Receptions (-120)

This Patriots team is a special brotherhood that’s raised this franchise out of a couple of bad years. One constant, steady piece of the team has been tight end Hunter Henry. The Patriots already earned Henry another 250k (nice day at the office) last week by getting him over 50 receptions on the season. Now sitting at 52 catches on the year, Henry can earn an additional 250k each for hitting the 55, 60, and 65 catch marks. Three catches earn him another 250k; if he can snag eight this week, that’s a cool 500k. The more he can get this week, the closer he’ll be to maxing out next week. The Patriots have an easier matchup against the New York Jets, but still have a lot to play for with the AFC East title and #1 seed on the line.

Attacking with a reliable target like Henry will be nice in a game where Kayshon Boutte and TreVeyon Henderson are both in jeopardy of missing. Henry had seven targets last week, catching six passes. Earlier this year, he caught four passes against the Jets. A number he has hit in four of the last five games, and eight times this year.

Mack Hollins Over 3.5 Receptions (-120)

It’s not often I target the same team on two prop bets, but these just stand out like a sore thumb. Not only do they have the easy matchup against the New York Jets. This offense that is humming should have no trouble moving the ball. But Boutte and Henderson having a chance to miss just elevates these pass catchers even more. Mack Hollins, on just a two-year, $8-million deal, already hit for 300k last week by getting to 40 receptions. If he can get to 50 catches on the year, there’s another 400k on the line. Hollins now has 36 receptions after a nine-target, seven catch game last week in Baltimore. Hollins has had at least four catches in the last two games and in five of the last eight Patriots games. The Patriots should go out of their way to check these two boxes and take care of their blue-collar boys early.

Juwan Johnson Over 44.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

Juwan Johnson earned some cash last week against those New York Jets, catching eight passes on nine targets for 89 yards. That pushed him to the 70 catch mark, cashing 250k, and over 700 yards (733) receiving mark for another 125k. Now the one box left to check, 800 receiving yards pays an additional 250k. The New Orleans Saints get the Tennessee Titans this week, which is a softer defense. Their offense has already looked miles better with Rookie of the Year candidate Tyler Shough running it. Johnson hasn’t received fewer than four targets since October 12th. With a lot of key pieces missing and hurt on this offense, look for them to target Johnson either a lot like last week. Or a little deeper down the field to get him these extra 67 yards to a payday.

Tony Pollard Over 59.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

Tony Pollard’s production has followed the trend of the Tennessee Titans lately and ramped up to close out the year. He’s cashed in three straight 100+ yard performances on the ground, even against tough defenses in Cleveland, San Francisco, and Kansas City. This week, he gets the New Orleans Saints, who certainly aren’t the toughest defense he’s seen. Pollard is just 151 yards away from 1,100 yards and 250k. The Titans will continue to give him work as they have been, and this number is disrespectful based on his recent production. Pollard also has five touchdowns this year. If he can get two more, that’ll cash an additional 200k. If the Titans get red zone opportunities, maybe they’ll lean into him. +1500 for 2+ touchdowns isn’t a bad bet to add on.
