Last week, the upsets cooled off from Week 6’s crazy bunch of upsets. A few teams still pulled off the Week 7 upsets, like Pitt beating Florida State. Colorado taking down Iowa State, and Indiana upsetting the Ducks on the road. Alabama and Ole Miss were among the teams that barely escaped being upset. Time to focus forward on Week 8’s College Football slate and see what we can come up with for our upset parlay.
Week 8 of College Football action brings a lot of excitement and big matchups starting on Friday night. An ACC showdown has Louisville heading to Miami to take on the Hurricanes. While in the Big Ten, Nebraska heads north to Minnesota to face the Golden Gophers. On Saturday, Duke is favored over #12 Georgia Tech. Who would have thought LSU and Vanderbilt would be a marquee top 25 matchup in football? Mississippi at Georgia is the big afternoon showdown in SEC country.
Saturday evening is loaded with just watching action. Tennessee heads to Tuscaloosa to take on the Tide. USC and Notre Dame square off in their rivalry match. While Utah and BYU have a date in an in-state rivalry. Now is a good time to remind you to bet these teams individually on the moneyline, and I like to bet them with the points as well. If you did this last week, it was hugely successful. If they are good enough to pull the upset, it makes a great case for taking them with the points as well.
College Football Week 8 Best Bets: Upset Parlay
Louisville Over Miami (+425)
Let’s kick the parlay off on Friday evening. It’s a huge ACC matchup as the Cardinals head into the eye of the storm. Louisville fell to 4-1 after a heartbreaking loss to the Virginia Cavaliers two weeks ago. It took overtime for Virginia to take them down, but now the Cardinals had a week off to recover and get ready for this matchup with the Hurricanes. These two teams had an absolute shootout last season, with Miami coming out on top 52-45.
Miami has been close to losing twice this season against strong opponents, Notre Dame to open the season, and Florida State just two weeks ago. They found ways to pull out those games late, but you’ve got to be careful playing with fire. Carson Beck has looked great playing quarterback for the Hurricanes, but this Cardinals defense has been strong in 2025. Clev Lubin and the Cardinals’ defensive line can control this game if they can get pressure on Beck and force mistakes. If Louisville can control the turnover game, they’ll be very much alive in this one.
Miller Moss, Louisville’s quarterback, will be the other key in this game. He’s been a little bit of Jekyll and a little bit of Hyde at times this year. If the version of him with three 300+ yard games and minimal mistakes shows up, give me the Cardinals to kick off this parlay.
UNLV Over Boise State (+360)
The Runnin’ Rebels head into Boise, Idaho, on Saturday as underdogs in a big-time game. The loser of this game is likely out of contention for a possible playoff berth, and the winner will have the fast track to host the Mountain West Championship game later this season. Dan Mullen made an instant impact, taking over the UNLV job this offseason. His quarterback, Anthony Colandrea, has played big-time football for Mullen. The transfer from Virginia is compiling passes at a 68.1% rate. He’s thrown for over 1,400 yards in six games and 10 touchdowns, all while only throwing three interceptions.
He’s leaned harder on his running ability this season, already surpassing his season totals when he was a Cavalier. Colandrea is averaging 5 yards per carry, with 323 on the ground this season and three touchdowns. It’s been all Broncos in this matchup the last eight games against each other. But that was before Mullen and Colandrea showed up. It will be key for UNLV to get off to a hot start. If they can do that against a bad Boise rush defense and keep the Broncos on their heels, this lights-out Rebels offense can win this game.
Ole Miss Over Georgia (+240)
I guess we’re going to name this the Rebel Parlay and make the Cardinals honorary Rebels this weekend. Lane Kiffin has his Ole Miss Rebels firing on all cylinders at 6-0. They suffered a scare last week against Washington State, whom they admittedly overlooked, while preparing for the Bulldogs this weekend. Kiffen and company have spent three weeks getting ready for this big matchup. I believe Lane will throw the entire book and get very creative on Saturday when these two square off. Georgia is more than a touchdown favorite in this one, and Ole Miss will lean into this disrespect.
Georgia has struggled against the three tough opponents they’ve faced in Tennessee, Alabama, and Auburn. And don’t forget Kiffin had Kirby Smart’s number last week when the Rebels won 28-10 at home. Trinidad Chambliss, Ole Miss’s star quarterback, will be the difference in this game. Georgia has struggled getting pressure on opposing quarterbacks, and I’m expecting Chambliss to make them pay. On top of that, the Ole Miss secondary is one of the best in the nation at defending the pass. If they can slow down the Bulldogs, Chambliss will do the rest.
Louisville + UNLV + Ole Miss Parlay (+8111)
Mix up this Rebel Parlay and let’s get things started Friday night in Miami. A cool $20 bet will pay out $1,642.20. Let’s enjoy a weekend of dogs and Rebels!
