We scored on out first inning action for the final ALDS game. There was only five runs scored over 15 innings in that one, and certainly nothing doing early. Now we look to the final NLDS game for NRFI bets for October 11.

MLB NRFI and YRFI Picks – October 11
Chicago Cubs vs. Milwaukee BRewers
First Pitch – 8:08 pm EST
American Family Field – Milwaukee, WI

On one hand, we have no idea who the starters are for this game. Both managers are playing the decision close to their chest with Craig Counsell letting us know it could be anyone other than Cade Horton. That uncertainty leads me to like the YRFI. Whoever starts this one is going to either be on short notice or a reliever not expected to go deep. Neiher of those lead me to believe we won’t see some early scoring.
Another reason I like the YRFI in this one is that we’re 4-for-4 on them in this series. Even with their best pitchers on the bump, there has not yet been a game where one team didn’t score. Not only are the teams scoring in the first, but they’re putting up big numbers as well. In four games in this series, the teams have scored 21 combined runs. That comes out to 2.63 runs per team per game. Going from that to nothing with less than their best options on the hill seems farfetched, so we’ll ride with a run to be scored.
