Sunday’s contest in the Northeast pits a pair of teams looking to figure it out with their young quarterbacks. Both Bryce Young and Drake Maye have shown flashes, as have these offenses, but both teams still seem a bit behind the ball. They’ll each look to take a step forward in this one. Who will get that elusive second win? Come check out Panthers-Patriots predictions to find out.
The visiting Panthers have had a hell of a time on the road this season. They opened with a pair of games in Arizona and Jacksonville and looked flat. After dropping both, they came home to face the Falcons as 5.5-point home underdogs. All they managed to do was pitch a shutout and hang 30 on their guests. Despite that fact, it wasn’t a great day for their offense, who put up just 224 yards of total offense. They’ll likely need to do more to beat the Patriots in this one.
The Patriots big game this year came in Week 2 against the Dolphins. They put up a 33-spot and scored a 6-point victory over their division rivals. However, the big concern for the Patriots is their defense. They have now allowed at least 20 points in three straight games. Those aren’t the worst numbers if you have a potent offense as well. However, they’ve turned the ball over as many times as they have put the ball in the end zone this year – seven times.

Carolina Panthers at New England Patriots Preview and Predictions
Drake Maye to Throw an Interception (-105)
In the three games he’s played, Maye has only managed to keep the ball out of opposing defensive backs’ hands in one of them. That was against the putrid defense of the Dolphins. Now he has to face a team who that may be their strong suit. The Panthers have four interceptions on the year, including two off of Michael Penix last week. Espeically if this game is close, I see Maye getting riskier and costing himself a possession.
Carolina Panthers +5.5 (-112)
As a mentioned before, I do think this game will stay close. The Panthers defense has a way of snagging turnovers at the best possible moment and New England isn’t doing that much offensively. In any game that you think is going to be that close, you have to take the dogs getting nearly a touchdown. The Patriots are spotting te Panthers 5.5 and I have to imagine they can keep it closer than that here, if not win outright.
