MMA Regional Pick of the Week: BRAVE CF 98
BRAVE CF Featherweight Fight: Rauan Bekbolat vs Omar Solomanov
Card Start Time: Friday (9/19), 10:00am EST (DAZN)
In the main event we have a rematch for the featherweight title. In their first run in, Rauan Bekbolat managed to grab a guillotine and submit Omar Solomanov. One might think that would put the Kazakh fighter as the automatic favorite. However, not only is that not true, but I also don’t like him even at underdog prices.
If you watch back the first fight between the two of them, Solomanov dominates the vast majority of the action. He scores takedown after takedown and does damage from advantageous positions. Despite that, Bekbolat still finds a way to steal victory from the jaws of defeat.
With the fight being mostly one way traffic the first fight – outside of the finish – it’s reasonable to think that Solomanov will just be a bit more careful in top control. If he does exactly that, he should find his hand raise and we should find this bet cashed.
