Prelim Pick of the Week: UFC vegas 107
UFC Catchweight Fight: Andreas Gustafsson vs Trevin Giles
Start Time: Saturday (5/31) 6:00pm EST (ESPN+)
Perhaps my favorite line of the whole weekend comes in one of the mant makeshift fights on this card. Andreas Gustafsson was set to fight Jeremiah Wells before Wells withdrew from the fight. The prep for Wells’ power punching and takedown attempts will likely serve Gustafsson well again his new opponent.
Trevin Giles has six knockout victories and is no stranger to shooting a takedown. However, he only had about a week to get ready for this fight. Not only has Gustafsson been in a full camp for someone like him, but he’s also got his cardio up to where it needs to be. That’s going to be tough for Giles and it’s already one of Gustafsson’s best weapons.
With everything pointing in the right direction for the Swede, you’d expect to see a much wide line than what we have here.
