This week’s UFC Fight Night recently lost its main event, with Sean Brady pulling out of his scheduled fight against Gabriel Bonfim, yet it remains a solid fight card, especially for one at the Meta APEX. For my MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 124, I’ve got a live dog on the prelims. Let’s get it on, c’mon!

MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 124
UFC Fight Night: Cortes Acosta vs Walker (aka UFC Vegas 124)
Start Time: 5:00 PM EDT
We’ve got another chalky UFC fight card coming down the pipe this weekend, at least on paper, in the chalkiest year to date. However, there are a couple of live dogs I like, both coming from the prelims.
One of them is debuting heavyweight Gabriel Lorenco, who is facing UFC veteran Thomas Peterson in the “main event” of the prelims. Peterson is taking this fight on short notice, which is one strike against him. Additionally, I expect Lorenco to be the more dangerous striker in this matchup; he’s more athletic, as well as being younger and bigger than his American foe. The Brazilian is worth a dog sprinkle.
