Daily NBA Player Props – November 2nd
Ausar Thompson – Over 6.5 Rebounds (-129)
We’ve highlighted Thompson’s rebounds twice already this year in this column. And there seems to be no reason to back down on the numbers now. Thompson has gone for nine and eight rebounds in his last two games respectively. With Jalen Duren still out for another week with a hamstring issue, someone needs to pick up the slack. It’s been him so far and I see no reason why it wouldn’t be again.
Jalen Johnson – Under 38.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-111)
Jalen Johnson was one of my favorites to play on the PRA lines last year, but the scoring touch for the Hawks forward seems down a bit this year. He’s over four points per game below his last year numbers and he’s not been nearly as active on the boards either. Add in that he is questionable with an ankle injury and there’s even a chance we see him exit this one early. It’s also worth mentioning that the Pacers just held Brooklyn to 98 points and have seen some better defense lately.
Paul George – Over 3.5 Assists (-133)
It was one of our big hits on Sunday, and it’s time to run it back. Paul George is a certified distributor for this Celtics squad. He’s racked up 23 assists over his last three games, which comes out to 7.7 per game. This projection is well under half that. So even if we’re expecting some regression – and I’m not sure why we would be – he should still clear this number with very little issue.
