Nobody argued this one. Ryan, Sean and Colby all took UTSA -2.5 at Tulane, the number when the guys taped on October 20, for a game that kicks off Saturday, October 24 at 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET in New Orleans, LA. The full segment is on the College Football Picks Week 8 episode.
UTSA vs Tulane Odds
UTSA was a 2.5-point road favorite at Tulane with a total of 51.5 when the guys taped on October 20.
Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): UTSA -2.5
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): UTSA -2.5
- Colby Dant (@thecolbyd): UTSA -2.5
The stakes came first. As one of the guys laid it out, UTSA is in first place, and a Tulane win would put the Green Wave in position for first with tiebreakers over both Memphis and UTSA in the race for the championship game. He still didn’t buy Tulane. Anyone who actually watched Tulane beat Memphis last week, he said, saw a team that isn’t good, and UTSA’s hiccup games tend to come against weak opponents rather than good ones. He expects the Roadrunners to walk in and drill them, and he lays the two and a half.
Sean got there the same way. He thinks the Tulane win was luck that won’t carry over, and he admitted he looked at Tulane early and quickly decided they were about to get destroyed. His call: UTSA rolls.
That Memphis game hung over the whole segment. Sean was on Memphis on the show last week, then bet Tulane on his own because he would never go against Tulane as a big home dog, and he pinned the Memphis pick on Colby. Ryan, who also had Memphis and called it horrible coaching, said he didn’t want recency bias to drive the pick and then went right back to fading Tulane.
