Los Angeles Kings vs New York Islanders
Start Time: 7:30 PM EST
I’ve gone from Elmont to Buffalo, then back to Elmont, for my best bets. The (Elmont) New York Islanders came through for me on Tuesday, beating the Anaheim Ducks 3-2. Now they have another West Coast visitor tomorrow, the Los Angeles Kings, and I expect them to come through again.
It took the Kings seven tries, but they finally won a game last time out, beating the Washington Capitals. Los Angeles can’t score, which is an issue in a sport where the goal is to score, ranking 30th in the league in goals for. The bad news for the Kings is the Islanders aren’t a very generous opponent, allowing the second-fewest goals per game.
The Islanders are also almost perfect at UBS Arena, going 4-1 thus far on their home ice (the Kings are 1-1-2 on the road). I say it often, and I’m saying it again here: the better team, playing at home, has to be the play – especially at the moneyline we’re getting.
New York on the moneyline is my best bet for Thursday.
