Daily NBA Player Props – October 20th
Ausar Thompson – Over 6.5 Rebounds (+107)
For our first play of the year, we’re going to get in on the rebounds from Ausar Thompson. While the Celtics acquisition of Mitchell Robinson gives us some questions about how many boards will be available, Thompson was gobbling them up last year. In the series against Cleveland, he hit those over in six of the seven games. In addition to the late season take over, he also put up numbers against the Celtics last year – nabbing 33 boards in four games (8.3 per game).
Derrick White – Over 15.5 Points (-110)
With the new construction of the Celtics, Derrick White has a good chance of picking up quite a bit more scoring. With Jayson Tatum out of action for the bulk of last year, he put up 16.5 points per game. Tatum might be back, but Jaylen Brown has moved South. The newer additions – Paul George and Mitchell Robinson – don’t figure to cut into his numbers. Look for White to easily carry this number.
Dylan Harper – Over 4.5 Rebounds (-117)
Dylan Harper didn’t come remotely close to putting up these numbers last year, but if you look at how he did down the stretch, this seems like a slam dunk. He hit the over on this mark in seven of his last eight playoff games. The team looked far better when he was involved in that part of the game, and I expect them to let him cook here too.
