While the UFC continues to be the king when it comes to MMA and gambling, there is more MMA than ever to bet on now. Promotions all over the world as well as domestic ones are showing up in sportsbooks. So we’ve decided to dig into some each week to get you started on your regional MMA journey. This week we head overseas for UAE Warriors 74 from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates for our regional MMA pick.

MMA Regional Pick of the Week: UAE Warriors 74
UAE Warriors Strawweight Fight: Michele Oliveira vs Farida Abdueva
Card Start Time: Thursday (10/22), 11:00am EST (UFC Fight Pass)
Kicking off our regional MMA action this weekend is a banger of a fight card from Abu Dhabi. The main event has serious implications not just for the title, but also for those looking to impress UFC brass, who happen to be in the area this weekend.
Farida Abdueva already had a chance to impress UFC brass when she fought for Road to UFC this past August. However, she really struggled with the physicality of Bo Hyun Park. Not only was she taken down for the first time in the tournament, but she was also controlled for over a full round.
That is likely to be an issue again as she faces current champion Michele Oliveira. The former IMMAF champion took out Danni McCormack to win the amateur belt before heading to the professional ranks. It took a bit of time, but then she nabbed this belt in a close fight with talented striker Lany Silva. Her ability to turn a fight into a slog and let her grappling do the talking should be enough in this one. Plus, her opponent’s recent exposure gives us a really playable line.
