Sean has nothing against Air Force. The Falcons were one of the show’s win total overs, and he noted they already have five wins despite losing their starting quarterback. His problem is the building: by his count Air Force has lost five straight in Laramie, and he sees a 24-21 type game where five and a half is a lot of points. Wyoming is a team he backs at home and fades on the road, and he said he will always take the Cowboys as a home dog.

Colby leaned on a longtime guest from his preseason previews, an Air Force beat writer who is usually bullish on the Falcons but always says you can’t take them in Laramie. In Colby’s experience this matchup is a field goal game, and when Air Force wins it tends to be by one, two or three. He also pointed out the stakes: the winner is in the driver’s seat for the Mountain West Championship game.

The altitude angle is weaker than usual here, and the guys said so. Sean put Laramie at 7,165 feet and the Air Force Academy at roughly 7,200, and a viewer in the chat added that the Falcons’ stadium sits at 6,600, so Air Force is not getting its normal elevation edge.
