The Washington Capitals would be the overperforming team, as they remain one of the top teams in the league, second only to the Winnipeg Jets. And, most importantly for tomorrow, they are the top road team in the NHL, with a 20-7-2 away record.
Additionally, New York isn’t that great on home ice this year and has failed to beat Washington in two tries this season. Plus, the Rangers will be without arguably their best player, defenseman Adam Fox, who is out indefinitely with a shoulder injury. Washington on the moneyline is the first half of our parlay.
We’re parlaying that with over 5.5 goals to be scored in this game. Washington is the top-scoring team in the league this season, and both Washington and New York games average over six goals a game this season. Plus, in their two previous meetings, they combined for eight and 11 goals.
