Robbie Avila Higher Than 2.5 Turnovers

St. Louis heads to Dayton for a match up with the Flyers tonight. The last time these two teams played in St. Louis, Robbie Avila had seven(!) turnovers. Let’s run it back with Avila to struggle on the road against a tough defense.

Avila has averaged 3.1 turnovers per game on the road this year. He’s gone higher than 2.5 turnovers in four straight conference road games. Avila has also turned the ball over at least three times in seven of his last nine games.

The Dayton Flyers defense generates 12.3 turnovers per game this year. That’s 136th in the nation. These two teams are also tied in the standings at 10-6 in conference. This game has meaning for conference tournament seeding. Dayton and St. Louis are both in the mix for the 3rd and 4th seeds in the tournament. Both of those two seeds get first-round byes. St. Louis is currently fifth in the standings, and Dayton is currently 3rd on tiebreakers.

Both of these teams have conference tournament seeding to play for, and the Flyers had Avila in hell the last time these two teams faced off. Going higher on Avila turnovers in this spot is on the best plays on the board for an Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry.

Josh Hubbard Higher Than 2.5 3-Pointers Made

The Texas Longhorns pay a visit to Starkville, MS for a game against Mississippi State. Texas allows opponents to shoot 34.2% from beyond the arc this year. That’s 176th in the nation. Let’s roll with Bulldogs leading scorer, Josh Hubbard, to go off here.

Hubbard enters this game shooting 39.1% from deep at home this year. He also averages 3.5 3-pointers made per game at home this season. Hubbard has gone higher than 2.5 made threes in four of his last five conference home games. He’s also made at least three three-pointers in six out of his last nine games overall.

Texas needs this game to move closer to a NCAA tournament spot, but Mississippi State could still want to pad their win total and is still playing for seeding in the SEC tournament. The Bulldogs are right on the edge of getting into the top eight of the SEC standings and securing a first-round bye.

Mississippi State has every reason to play its top guys a full workload. This is a great match up for Hubbard, and he should have no problem going higher than 2.5 3-pointers made for your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry.

Devin McGlockton Higher Than 7.5 Rebounds

Arkansas travels to Nashville for a game against Vanderbilt tonight. The Razorbacks have allowed opponents to average 34.9 rebounds this year. That’s 208th in the nation, and Arkansas big man Adou Thiero has already been ruled out for this game. Vanderbilt forward Devin McGlockton should find some room to grab at least eight boards in this one.

McGlockton comes into this game averaging 8.1 rebounds per game at home this year. He’s gone higher than 7.5 rebounds in four straight conference home games. He’s also racked up at least eight rebounds in his last four games played overall.

Arkansas is fighting for its NCAA tournament life, but Vanderbilt is also one of the teams in the mix for a first-round bye in the SEC tournament. Vanderbilt should play their regulars a full workload, and they’ll need McGlockton on the floor and pulling down rebounds. Lock up McGlockton to go higher than 7.5 rebounds in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for March 4th.
