For UFC Fight Night: Kape vs Almabayev (aka UFC Vegas 103), going down on Saturday night in the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, we get Cody Brundage vs Julian Marquez in the co-main event slot. Hmm. For my MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 103, I’m going with the dog in that aforementioned co-main event.

UFC FIGHT NIGHT: KAPE VS ALMABAYAEV (AKA UFC VEGAS 103)
Start Time: 4:00 PM EST (ESPN+)
Cody Brundage vs Julian Marquez may not be a worthy co-main event fight this week (there are quite a few other fights on the card that are better), but it does have a very worthy underdog line to play. And that live dog would be Cody Brundage.
I don’t get this line, which is a good thing. Brundage has a very clear path to victory here – wrestle Marquez. Marquez has poor takedown defense, plus he’s been knocked out in three straight fights, so Brundage can very plausibly turn his lights out as well.
