College Basketball Picks February 24
Texas Tech +1.5
We’re in store for a great one tonight as the fourth-ranked Cougars travel to Lubbock to take on the tenth-ranked Red Raiders. This in-state rivalry matchup will showcase some of the best offenses in the nation.
According to KenPom, Houston showcases the nation’s seventh-best offense, with four players averaging double figures in points in L.J. Cryer, Emanuel Sharp, J’Wan Roberts, and Milos Uzan. The Red Raiders’ tenth-ranked offense runs through JT Toppin, who has looked like a National Player of the Year candidate all season.
Texas Tech beat Houston in overtime on February 1, 2025, despite losing Toppin, who played just four minutes and left the game with an injury. Although Houston will be looking to get their revenge, they’ll be doing so in enemy territory with one of the best home-court advantages in the country.
I’m rolling with the Red Raiders in this one, a team I am super high on down the stretch and in the “Big Dance”.
