This was solidified when I came across a very playable line. Edmonton Oilers vs Tampa Bay Lightning
Start Time: 7:30 PM EST
We get one of the best road teams in the NHL, the 16-9-2 on-the-road Edmonton Oilers, visiting one of the league’s best home teams, the Tampa Bay Lightning, who sports a 19-7-2 record in their home barn. Tampa Bay being good at home isn’t a new thing, as they historically have the best home-ice advantage in the NHL, worth 0.40 goals per game.
And the home team is the side I’m coming down on tomorrow. The Oilers have dropped three straight games, and are projected to have their backup goalie, Calvin Pickard, between the pipes for the game (although he has arguably been as good as starter Stuart Skinner this season). And the Lightning are really clicking, winning five straight and six of seven (they’ve actually only lost once in February).
The best part? We’re getting the Lightning as dogs.
