Minnesota Vikings at Tennessee Titans Preview and Predictions

Minnesota Vikings at Tennessee Titans Preview and Predictions

Sam Darnold and the Minnesota Vikings head down to Nashville Tennessee on Sunday. They’ll face Will Levis and the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium. The game will kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS. Let’s take a look at my Vikings-Titans Preview and Predictions.

The Minnesota Vikings started off as one of the hottest teams in the NFL cruising to a 5-0 record, the last NFC team to remain undefeated. Then they ran into the buzz saw that is the Detroit Lions and lost back to back games to the Lions and Rams. They’ve won their last two games in ugly low scoring games to bring their record to 7-2. They currently sit second in the NFC North.

It hasn’t been pretty for the Tennessee Titans through the first 10 weeks of the season. They are just 2-7 on the season losing four of their last five. It’s been back and forth between Will Levis and Mason Rudolph at quarterback. Levis, who missed three games due to a shoulder injury, is scheduled to start this week.

Game Total Under 40.5 (-105)

The Tennessee Titans have one of the toughest defensive units in the NFL. They rank first in total yards per game, allowing just 273.6. Their passing defense also takes the top spot allowing just 156.7 yards per game. Their offense is also one of the worst in the league averaging just 17.4 points per game. They rank 27th in yards per game at 295.6.

Minnesota started the season as a very prolific scoring team, but that’s cooled off. In wins over other AFC South teams the last two weeks, the game total failed to get over that 40.5 mark, and I think we’ll see that again this week.

Minnesota Vikings -5 (-120)

The Tennessee Titans are horrible this season. Even against the spread, they are not good. In fact they are the worst team in the NFL with a record of just 1-8 against the spread. Yet somehow they are only five-point underdogs in this game against a team that’s not only 7-2 on the season straight up. The Vikings are also 6-3 against the spread.
