Jordan Love takes his Green Bay Packers on the road to visit Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET and the game will air on Fox. This matchup features two teams very much heading in different directions, Green Bay comes in at 5-2 while Jacksonville is just 2-5. Let’s dive in and take a look at my Packers-Jaguars preview and predictions.
Jordan Love and this young Packers team have looked strong through their first seven games. Their only two losses were in Brazil Week 1 to the Philadelphia Eagles, and Week 4 to the Minnesota Vikings by just two points, who just lost their first game last week. They are coming off a big win at home last week against the Texans.
The Jaguars on the other hand haven’t looked good. All the rumors have head coach Doug Pederson on the hot seat. Trevor Lawerence was supposed to be the next great one, and while he hasn’t looked horrible, he also hasn’t been getting it done. Their two wins are against a pathetic Patriots team in London last week and a divisional matchup where they took down the Indianapolis Colts. The Jaguars are returning from two weeks in a row of London games and opted to not get the bye week this week.

Josh Jacobs Over 69.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Josh Jacobs has been a one-man wrecking crew on the ground for the Green Bay Packers this season. He’s gone over the 69.5-yard mark four games this season including a 151-yard game against the Colts in Week 2. The Packers rank fifth in the league in rush yards, and Jacobs is the main reason for that. This Jaguars defense hasn’t been too bad against the run this season, but players like D’Andre Swift showed us what they are capable of just a few weeks ago dashing for 91 yards on the ground. The Jaguars average allowing 102.6 yards per game.

The Jaguars have lucked into a few injured running back fields, but that’s not their luck this week. I expect this Packers team to get up big early, and grind it out with Josh Jacobs on the ground. I plan to ride his rushing ladder all the way to 120+ yards for +750.
Green Bay Packers -3.5 (-113)
It’s a bit shocking to me that you can even get the Packers at this low of a number. These teams have looked so different, they almost don’t even seem like they belong in the same league.
The Packers are 4-2 ATS in their last six games, while Jacksonville is just 2-4 ATS in that same span. Don’t overthink this one and just take the team that’s clearly better to cover.
