The Pittsburgh Steelers make their way West to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders in Week 6. The Steelers are coming off a last-minute loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. Meanwhile, things continue to go South for the Las Vegas Raiders. First and foremost, the inevitable quarterback change from Gardner Minshew to Aidan O’Connell. Will the Steelers be able to get back to the winning side of things against the team in freefall? Below are my preview and predictions for the Steelers at Raiders!
The biggest story coming into this game is the quarterback change for the Raiders. Garnder Minshew gets replaced by Aidan O’Connell looking to spark the offense. The saga continues for the Raiders as they will be without Davante Adams who more than likely has played his last game for the Raiders.
Meanwhile, the Steelers did see the return of Russell Wilson at practice as a full go for the first time this season. If the Steelers don’t find success in the offense will there also be a quarterback change for the Steelers? The defense continues to play well for the Steelers and the Raiders offense has a tough task going up against the pass rush.
Steelers at Raiders Preview and Predictions
Best Bets
I am not a believer in this Raiders team period. They lack talent on offense at the skill positions except for Brock Bowers who is having a stellar start to his career for the Raiders. For the early part of the season, the Steelers were able to play their brand of football and eke out wins. However, the Steelers have dropped two straight games.
This game purely comes down to the fact if there is any trust in O’Connell and I for one do not. We saw him come into the game last week against the Broncos and throw a pick and I believe more that will happen in this game. The backfield for both teams has been non-existent, especially for the Raiders. I don’t have faith in either offense but especially the Raiders. Furthermore, the Steelers have a huge coaching advantage in this game and will do enough to win the game.
Best Bet: Steelers -3
Player Prop Best Bet
Aidan O’Connell to throw A Interception -155
This one is a bit chalky but I feel very confident in this player prop bet. As I mentioned above, O’Connell came into the game last week and threw a pick against the Broncos. Last season, in 11 games for the Raiders, O’Connell threw seven interceptions. The Steelers’ defense has a total of six interceptions this season, which have all been multiple interceptions in Week 1, 2, and 5.
