Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs Predictions

NFL Week 2 features a much-anticipated matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and the defending Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. However, there are concerns about the Bengals coming into this game. First, the Bengals are coming off a loss as a 8.5-point favorite in Week 1 against the Patriots.  Secondly, the Bengals will be without Tee Higgins in this game. Can Burrow find the magic at Arrowhead Stadium again and shock the Chiefs? Below are my Bengals at Chiefs predictions.

Bengals at Chiefs Predictions

As I mentioned above, the Bengals are coming off an embarrassing loss to the New England Patriots in Week 1. The Bengals only mustered up 10 points and dealt with several key turnovers. The Patriots were able to find success on the ground against the Bengals defense. Meanwhile, the Chiefs beat one of the top teams in the AFC in Week 1 the Baltimore Ravens.

Joe Burrow has won three out of the four head-to-head meetings against the Chiefs including the playoffs. Chiefs have reloaded the weapons around Patrick Mahomes with Rashee Rice and first-round draft pick Xavier Worthy. Despite being early in the season, this is a big game for the Bengals for their playoff hopes.

The Kansas City Chiefs come into this game with the rest advantage. They played the first game of the regular season on Thursday in Week 1. What does that mean? Extra time for Andy Reid to prepare for the Bengals. We saw the young receivers contribute offensively for the Chiefs. It feels like the Chiefs are primed to make another run to the Super Bowl.

The big concerns lie with the Bengals. I am in the camp of proving it before I can back this team. Is this the buy-low spot for the Bengals? Possibly. But there are too many questions surrounding this team. As I mentioned above, the Bengals will be without Tee Higgins. Are you going to get maximum effort from Ja’Maar Chase who is seeking a long-term deal? Additionally, the Bengals do not have D.J. Reader on the defensive line to be the run-stopper.

This could be a game where Isiah Pacheco has a lot of success on the ground. As a result, this could give Mahomes plenty of opportunities in play-action. It may be the square play of the week but I’ll ride with Mahomes and the Chiefs.

Best Bet: Chiefs -6
