SGPN Parlay For Saturday (August 17th): MLB Parlay

MLB Saturday: Atlanta Braves vs Los Angeles Angels

Start Time – 9:38 PM EST

Neither of these teams are hitting all that well right now. They are coming off a game Friday where they combined for just five runs and the pitching matchup arguably was worse. The Braves have scored just 20 runs in their last five games, but 13 of them came in one offensive outburst. The Angels have scored just 13 in that same span (or 2.6 per game). With Chris Sale taking the bump for the Braves, Atlanta will have to do the heavy offensive lifting for the total, and I just don’t have faith that they can right now.

I do have faith in Sale though. He’s been mowing people down as of late. Facing a much better hitting team in the Padres last time out, he struck out 12 over 7.0 innings. That was his second straight start with double-digit strikeouts. With the Angels fanning 13 times on Friday, I think there’s a good chance Sale breaks out another big game.
