Los Angeles Angels vs Washington Nationals

Ya, I know – betting on the Washington Nationals to help break yourself out of a slump seems like a strange move, but it’s really not. First off, the Nationals are halfway decent this season – they’ve already won 67 games after only managing 66 all of last year. And it’s the Los Angeles Angels that are in town tomorrow night to start a three-game interleague series.

The Angels, as usual, are a crummy baseball team, sitting at 56-90 overall, and are 26-46 on the road, the fourth-worst mark in the majors this season. This is just what the doctor ordered for the Nats, who have dropped seven straight games and are 2-8 over their past 10.

It also helps that Washington sends their ace, Cade Cavalli, to the bump tomorrow to start. The 28-year-old has allowed four earned runs total over his past five starts (30 innings total).

So two slumps are going to be snapped tomorrow – mine and the Nationals’. The Washington Nationals on the moneyline is my best bet for Friday.
