Underdog Fantasy MLB Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – June 10
Erick Fedde – Higher than 6.0 Strikeouts
Erick Fedde has been solid this year for the White Sox. Perhaps you haven’t noticed because he’s on the White Sox. However, he’s sporting a 3.27 ERA, which is helping him get late into games. On top of that, he’s striking out just short of one per inning this season. That’s led him to three straight games of meeting this projection. Now he gets the Mariners, who are dead last in the majors in strikeouts. They’re striking out 10.01 times per game and have been worse over their last three (11.0 in that span).
Salvador Perez – Higher than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Perez has two things going for him in this one. Firstly, he loved hitting Carlos Rodon. In 21 career plate appearances, he’s 9-for-20 (.450 batting average) with a walk and two homers. Secondly, he’s had a hot start to his year. He’s hitting .299 with ten homers on the year, and would only need to lift one here to get to that projection.
Corbin Burnes – Higher than 35.5 Fantasy Points
Maybe the strikeout numbers have slipped a bit for Corbin Burnes, but he’s been throwing late into the games. With the Underdog Fantasy scoring giving a point for every out, this should give Burnes a huge leg up on getting higher than this projection. Also, while he hasn’t been fanning quite as many batters as of late, Tampa Bay is 25th in the league in strikeouts. That could give him an extra boost on these numbers.
