Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – May 28

PJ Washington – Higher than 6.5 Rebounds

While his season total is under this projection, Washington has consistently been putting up better numbers this post-season. He has beat this mark in two of his three games in this series. He also beat the projection in half of the games last series en route to a 8.3 rebounds per game average.

Now there’s even more room for optimism with the injury to Dereck Lively II. Lively was on his way to a third straight ‘Higher than’ on his rebound projections when he went out with a neck injury. Washington picked up the slack and I see him doing that again here.

Mike Conley – Higher than 2.5 1st Quarter Points

After coming up short in game one, Conley has beat this projection in each of the last two games. He’s averaging at least one three-point attempt in the first quarter over this series. Additionally, he took three shots in the first quarter last time out. On top of that, it took him just two minutes to beat this projection last game. He splashed a three-pointer to get to five total points with 10:16 left in the first quarter.

Naz Reid – Higher than 1.5 Three-Pointers Made

Game three saw Reid take his least amount of attempts from deep in the whole series. Still, he took five of them, making just one. That number doesn’t instill confidence, but the numbers we see earlier in the series makes me feel better. He made 7-of-9 from three-point in game two and 3-of-6 in game one. Those 15 attempts in two games means he should be able to drain two here.
