Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – May 5

Franz Wagner – Lower than 19.5 Points

When I dug into my fantasy lineup for game 6 in this series, I was all over the ‘Higher than’ for Wagner’s points. It was listed at this same number and he got 14 of the points he need in the first quarter alone. After a 26-point performance in that game, you might be thinking that we have to keep that momentum going. However, I’m going in the other direction.

Wagner, and the rest of the Magic for that matter, have been pretty bad on the road in this series. Wagner is averaging 21.0 points per game in the series as a whole. The home/away split is 25.3 points per game in Orlando, and 16.7 points per game in Cleveland. That’s a hard trend to buck in the last game of the series.

Isaac Okoro – Higher than 5.5 Points

Okoro is one of the Cavaliers that I like on the opposite side of Wagner’s trend. He has scored just four total points on the road in the three away games during this series. At home he’s averaging 7.3 points per game. The best part is that this is all with roughly the same amount of playing time in both locations.

Paolo Banchero – Higher than 24.5 Points

Okay, so we can’t just ride every ‘Higher than’ for the Cavaliers and every ‘Lower than’ for the Magic. If there is someone on Orlando that I expect to step up in this spot, it’s Banchero. He tried his very hardest to change this homecourt narrative in game five when it was tied at two a piece. In that game he scored 39 points and got particularly hot from deep. Even if he isn’t hot, I expect him to try to carry the Magic to the finishline in this one.
