Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – April 27
Jalen Suggs – Higher than 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
The Magic offense came to life in a game three drubbing of the Cavaliers. They had been dormant for most of the series, but seemed to finally find the rhythm. A big part of that was how well Jalen Suggs played. In fact, he beat this projection with just the points in game three – and he played less minutes than he had all series. I don’t expect the Magic to blow the Cavaliers out again, but that could just mean more minutes for Suggs.
Naji Marshall – Lower than 5.5 Points
Marshall blew projections out of the water in game two against the Thunder. He finished with 10 points over 25 minutes – which was well above his season average of 19 minutes. While some might see that as a positive sign, the entire difference was made up in the fourth quarter when he played almost 10.5 minutes. He also scored eight points in that time – which seems unlikely if this is a close game.
Derrick White – Lower than 3.0 First Quarter Points
Derrick White scored the first bucket of the game in game two and went on to have four first quarter points. That’s the highest total he’s had since April 1st in the first quarter. In fact, in the last four game of the regular season, he only scored three combined points in the first quarter. Plus, with the Celtics on the road looking to take back home field advantage, I expect them to lean even more heavily on Brown and Tatum.
