We’ve had awesome days. We’ve had bad days. Yesterday’s picks? Frustrating. Max Abmas went lower on his PRA. Tamin Lipsey pushed on his assists. And Steven Ashworth was lower on his point total… until Creighton went to overtime. 1-1-1 with our first push of the year. The good news is that Sunday has eight more NCAA tournament games and a couple of square numbers to find. Let’s dive into my Underdog Fantasy college basketball March Madness picks for March 23.
Remember, playing all three of these on Underdog Fantasy could win you 6X your money on a single three-leg entry!

Matthew Dewoskin Underdog Fantasy College Basketball Pick Em Record (Est 3/1/2024)
All Pick Em Selections: 41-24-1 (63.0%)
Spicy Multiplier Picks: 2-0 (100%)
Perfect 3-0 Pick Em Entries: 5-17 (+2.0 units)
L.J. Cryer (Houston) Higher Than 2.5 Made Three-Pointers
Houston Cougars sharpshooter L.J. Cryer enters the second round averaging 3.1 made three-pointers per game this year. He’s cleared 2.5 made threes in seven of his last nine games.
Cryer and the Cougars get Texas A&M in the second round. The Aggies are 174th in the nation in three-point percentage against at 33.7%. Texas A&M just allowed Keisei Tominaga to go 5-for-11 in the first round.
Cryer should be able to find space on the perimeter against the Aggies, and you’ll want to go higher on his made three-pointers today in your Underdog Fantasy entry.
Micah Parrish (San Diego State) Lower Than 16.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists
San Diego State guard Micah Parrish enters the second round, averaging 9.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. He’s missed going higher than 16.5 PRA in five of his last seven games.
In his first-round match-up against UAB, Parrish only managed two points, three rebounds, and three assists in 25 minutes.
In round two, Parrish and the Aztecs get Yale. This isn’t necessarily a terrible match-up, but this may be one of the slowest-paced games in the tournament. San Diego State is 266th in pace, and Yale is 329th. Limited possessions typically result in fewer chances to do everything, and Parrish already struggles to fill up the stat sheet.
Parrish should end up lower than 16.5 PRA….unless this goes to double overtime.
Tyon Grant-Foster (Grand Canyon) Higher Than 20.5 Points
It may be Sunday, but we can still celebrate TGF! (no ‘i’) Tyon Grant-Foster comes into the second round, averaging 19.8 points per game, but he gets to play against the Alabama defense.
Grant-Foster has cleared 20.5 points in four of his last five games, and that includes 22 against St. Mary’s. If Grant-Foster can rack up 22 points against the Gaels, how many can he do against Alabama? We’re hoping it’s higher than 20.5.
We also just watched the Alabama defense surrender 19 points to Charleston forward Ben Burnham. Burnham averaged 11.9 points per game this year.
The Crimson Tide gives up a ton of points, and Grant-Foster should be there to take advantage. His usage rate is through the roof, and he’s the first option in most of the Lopes offensive sets. Look for TGF to go higher on his points total in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball pick’em entry for March 24.
