Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – March 22
Draymond Green – Higher than 8.5 Rebounds
Draymond showed signs of being Draymond again against the Grizzlies on Wednesday. He got in some disagreements and seems to be getting fired up a bit too easily. Some might be shying away from his numbers with that trend, but I think he looks better on the court when he’s jacked up – and some of the recent numbers look that way too.
He’s gone for 12 rebounds in two of the last three games. He had eight against the Pacers the last time they played, but that was the second end of a back-to-back. I think the most rested version gets at least one more.
Kawhi Leonard – Higher than 8.0 1st Quarter Points
Over the last four games, Leonard is averaging 11.25 points per game in the first quarter. He’s managed to beat this projection in three of those four games largely due to an increased output over that span. After having five or less field goal attempts in four straight first quarters, he’s had at least six in the last four. There’s no reason to think that trend won’t continue.
LeBron James – Higher than 0.5 Double Doubles
No matter what your feeling about LeBron James is, there’s one unquestionable fact about him – he doesn’t forget.
The last time the Lakers played the 76ers, they got embarrassed. LeBron suffered the largest defeat of his career (44 points) and posted one of his very worst plus/minus (-30). You have to imagine we’ll see a high effort version of LeBron tonight against a much less stacked 76ers squad.
If the narrative isn’t enough for you, the trends look good for LeBron on a double-double as well. He’s had one in four of his last six games. In the two he didn’t get, he was just one assist short.
