Isaiah Stevens (Colorado State) Higher Than 2.5 Turnovers *SPICY*

Isaiah Stevens is one of the best point guards in the Mountain West and has been must-watch TV for the entire season. However, he’s not playing in the Mountain West. He’s drawing the Virginia Cavaliers in their First Four game.

Stevens averages 2.3 turnovers per game this year. Keep in mind that most nights, he wasn’t playing close to 40 minutes per night. His usage rate should increase with a trip into the first round of the NCAA tournament on the line. In this case, more minutes will likely mean more turnovers for Stevens.

Stevens has also gone over 2.5 turnovers in three of his last four games. He also went over against St. Mary’s, Colorado, and Washington in the Rams’ non-conference slate. However, he did end up going under against Creighton and Boston College.

Look for Stevens to go higher than 2.5 turnovers in a challenging matchup in the First Four when filling out your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for March 19.

Jordan Hairston (Howard) Higher Than 1.5 Three-Pointers Made

Grad transfer Jordan Hairston has emerged as one of the key components of the Howard Bison backcourt over the past few months. Hairston has played over 30 minutes in every game for the Bison since February 24th, and he’s made the most of it.

Hairston has drained more than 1.5 three-pointers in seven of the eight games that he’s logged heavy minutes in. Howard is playing for the right to move into the first round, and it’s likely that Hairston continues to see a heavy workload.

Wagner’s Adjusted Defense rating isn’t only a few positions above Delaware State. Hairston sunk three three-pointers against Delaware State in the MEAC final and went off for six three-balls on March 4th.

Hairston should find space against the vacuum company and go higher than 1.5 three-pointers made.

Pierre Brooks II (Butler) Higher Than 13.5 Points

Xavier draws Minnesota in the first round of the NIT. Xavier’s Pierre Brooks comes into the tournament averaging 15.0 points per game this year. He’s also gone over 13.5 points in three straight games, but this isn’t the angle.

Minnesota is ranked 323rd in the nation in three-point shooting percentage against. The Golden Gophers get absolutely wrecked from beyond the arc. Brooks has nailed at least two three-pointers in each of his last six games. If Brooks nails two three-pointers against Minnesota, he’s almost halfway to cashing.

Minnesota struggles to defend the perimeter, and Brooks should feast in the first round of the NIT. Make sure Brooks is a part of your Underdog Fantasy college basketball pick’em entry for March 19.
