The newest chapter of the Commonwealth Clash is expected to be another low-scoring one. Virginia beat Virginia Tech in Charlottesville earlier this season by a 65-57 score. On a small Monday slate I’m going to try and hone in on this game with a relatively predictable game script.
Ryan Dunn (Virginia) Lower Than 16.5 PRA
Last year at Virginia Tech, Dunn only had two points, two rebounds, and one assist. Dunn combined for only 14 PRA in the Cavs home game against the Hokies earlier this season. So we’re going to run it back. Dunn has finished with less than 16.5 PRA in six straight games and in nine of Virginia’s 15 conference games.
Hunter Cattoor (Virginia Tech) Higher Than 0.5 Turnovers
Hunter Cattoor has started four games against Virginia in his career. He has committed at least one turnover against the vaunted ‘Pack Line’ defense in all four of those games. The higher than 0.5 turnovers player projection is 9-3 in Cattoor’s games against ACC opponents this season.
